Nurse Lexi Makes Stuff

Hello & Welcome! I hope you find something adaptively helpful here. I’m just a nurse mom that wants to help the world. More about me.

Hello, my name is Nurse Lexi Makes Stuff (Alexis in real life). I am some chick that got bullied out of her in-person nursing career, and chose to turn her grief into something useful. I am an advocate for the differently abled, and the most vulnerable in our society.
I’ve had previous experience in my career as a medical assistant in primary care, and pediatric specialties. I have been a NICU nurse, pediatric homecare nurse, and got the really cool experience a couple of time to build new nursing roles for care coordination for people going through cancer.

I have been blessed with neuro-spice, and my children have too, which has given me the fantastic opportunity to learn things from some of nurses’ greatest co-healthcare workers- Speech Therapists Physical Therapists, and Occupational Therapists.

I enjoy working with teams of clinical and non-clinical professionals to ensure others get the care they deserve, while diligently showing the general public how to do things adaptively. One of the biggest nursing theories I LOVE is Dorothea Orem’s Self-Care Deficit Theory– And I always wanted to create a Supportive-Educational System of my own to help people all over the world.
I take the Nursing Code of Ethics very seriously, even though I am VERY unserious online. I love empowering others to speak up about their concerns, and finding innovative ways to apply evidence-based practice. I listen, teach, and engage in tough conversations to help find adaptive solutions in today’s world.
